We have casted on for The Central Park Hoodie.. I am looking forward to this pattern. After seeing so many projects on Ravelry, we decided to give it a try. This will be our first cardigan, wish us luck. So far so good. Sandra, Chelette and I started at the same time, and now we talked Jennifer into doing it also. Since she is more expirenced an a expert at cardigans, we're hoping she can help us out with any foreseeable problems, in following the pattern.
I am also still working on my blanket swatches and will post the new ones as soon as I take some pictures..
The other thing I am trying after watching Elizabeth Zimmerman's Knitting Workshop, is to knit continental because it seems to go a bit faster. I first learned this way and then when I took my first knitting class my teacher taught me to throw. Then I started a combination of them both.. I can knit continental but purling is more difficult for me to do, I keep giving it a try though. Because of the aches in my hands I think its a good idea to know both. I aspire to get a little more speed, but I know that realistically I will not be able to get the speed of The Yarn Harlot or Eunny Jang.

Because like you the pain in my left hand and I am finding that in some tight spots it is better to throw on K2togs/K3togs ;o)
I still have no idea how to purl American yet!

Chelette, My friend taught me the continental way to knit years ago, and believe me, it is faster. But, beware! It will take awhile before you get the hang of it. I told my friend that I could have knit three rows my way by the time I knit one row the continental way. Persevere! You will be happy you did.

I too have planned to do the CPH. I may tag along in a week or so. The yarn and color you've chosen is wonderful. Love that rustic stuff.
