Hibiscus for Hope

Have you seen this yet??? It's the Hibiscus for Hope Socks...To get your very own copy of the Hibiscus for Hope sock pattern, all you have to do is sponsor Ramona Carmelly for the Wednesday, September 10, 2008 Weekend to End Breast Cancer, supporting the Princess Margaret Hospital, Canada's leading centre for cancer treatment and a world leader in cancer research. Here’s the link to Ramona's personal page at the WEBC - you should be able to sponsor her directly there. You can also go to the main site for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer, then click on Toronto, then click on Sponsor a Participant, and enter her name: Ramona Carmelly. You can also join the Knitters for Knockers Ravelry group,

It's for a really good cause and apparently the Yarn Harlot thinks so too!. She made the socks already.

I love the pattern and I am hoping that I can do them one day, but for now I will get through Ravelympic and Summer of Socks 08. I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew. It is a lot of knitting and I still have to do my daily routine. I wonder how knitters do it. I knit slow and I have to look at my hands. I was reading neanods and she can knit now without looking down... I haven't gotten this good yet...but I'm working on it. Purl is especially harder to do for me without looking.
Okay back to working on my CPH... I am hoping to get these sleeves over with this weekend.

Those socks are awesome. I can now knit without looking as long as it is simple knit and purl. Other than that, nope. don't feel comfortable

Sister Sister.....these are beautiful. Maybe I will try these next. I just finished my embossed leaves, but need to get a needle so I can close them off.

These are soooo tempting. I have so much sock yarn, I should think about doing these, but the pink ones look like they might be toe-up, and I don't like toe-up.
The famous sock-mistress Nancy Bush doesn't either - and she also says she doesn't like knitting socks on 2 circular needles. I totally agreed with her and she said we should live near each other because we think alike - traditional sock making is our love :)
