Win, Win

Text Color
Okay, so tomorrow is the big day. The final day. The day we all get the opportunity to be a part of history. I am so looking forward to this. I have to wait until I get home to vote so I am glad the polls will stay open until 8:00 pm. As long as it takes I will be in that line. This is the first time I am voting in Maryland. I am going to take my knitting and have a folding chair handy just in case I need it. I will be working on my CPH. I do believe I am going to have it finished by the weekend. We are planning to wear them to Stitches. I hope to see some of you there. It will be easy to recognize us.

Obama's Grandmother Dies Of Cancer In Hawaii
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Monday that his maternal grandmother has died.
Madelyn Dunham, 86, died of cancer just a little more than a week after her grandson interrupted his campaign for a brief visit at her home in Honolulu.
Obama said he learned of his grandmother's death when he was on the campaign trail in Florida Monday morning. He was campaigning in Charlotte, N.C., when he and his sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, released a joint statement about the death."It is with great sadness that we announce that our grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has died peacefully after a battle with cancer," the statement said. "She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility."Dunham helped raise Obama from the age Text Colorof 10, while his mother was working in Indonesia.

.......and Guess what!!!!

I WON!! It was the "Tell Katie what to knit contest" the rules were: ....Tell Katie what you wanted to see her knit. It could be anything, and I do mean anything...people, animal, inanimate object. The only request was that it be something you've never seen knit before, and that was not be wearable. Katie wants to see the oddest thing you can think of in knit form. So on my mind these days, have been everything about the campaign soooo... that's what I suggested. Knit Barack Obama in the White House. She got some really interesting answers, things you wouldn't believe. I am excited to see what she comes up with. Katie has a cool website. She has the most adorable knitted creatures on her site, check her out here. Thank you Katie.
