MDSW

MDSW 2009
More photos on my Flickr

It was a beautiful day all and all even though they predicted that it was going to be rainy all day. The sun came out and we took our time. First was the Ravelry Meet-Up. It was awesome meeting with friends that we hadn't seen since last MDSW. There were also new friends to meet too.
This was our 3rd MDSW Festival. I am proud of myself that I only went $25.00 over my budget.
Chelette was even better than me and only bought one skein for herself. She is making a shrug for another sister and found the perfect yarn for it. Now it's time to get serious and start knitting. I am almost finished my 2at a time socks on circular needles. Now I am starting to think about my next project. It might be another pair of socks or a sweater. I haven't decided yet.
I think I would have to agree with JavaJen and saying that next to the fiber, the best thing about MDSW is meeting all the Friends that come out.♥

It was a great day for me!!!! I met with the sistahs I have been communicating with for the past year. It was overwhelming for me. I have never met with sistahs that knit in south new jersey. It was spiritual for me. My family asked about the festival when I came home came home & i was speachless.

God Bless

It was great to finally meet you in person! I didn't buy much either... a 4oz bag of roving, a pottery pendant, and some goat's milk soap. With the size of my stash, that's all I could justify. lol But really, it's all about meeting people. And thanks to Ravelry for bringing us together!

This is a blur to me. Really can't believe I only brought 4 skeins of yarn. I got Tilli Thomas for my sister's project and NONE for me. I really was not feeling good on Saturday, but it was great seeing everyone!!!! I will just have to make up for it NEXT YEAR.

Great photos and great seeing you both on Saturday. I wish I could say I practiced restraint. I think I bought fiber from every breed/type of animal at the show. Went back for more on Sunday and 2 classes with Judith MacKenzie McCuin - Judith totally ROCKS!

Great pictures!! I couldn't go because of stuff with my daughter. But I am making plans to go with a Rav friend from Philly (she's sort of on my way to Maryland from NJ) So I hope you go a fourth time and I can meet you next time!

I still can't believe that I am still talking about the fantastic time I had at the festival. All of the workers that I supervise at work were laughing when I told them about the meetup and the sheep dogs demo. The workers were convinced that I was 'special' because I lighted up talking about knitters and yarn.
