Chocolate Sock Party

Last night we went to (ACKC Bar) Artfully Chocolate featuring Kingsbury Confections Cocoa in Logan Circle to pick up our Neighborhood Fiber "Sock for all Seasons" March yarn. Karida invited us and she treated us to Hot Cocoa. It was most delicious. I decided to try the Turtle cookie and The Charro Cocoa which is a playful combination of semi-sweet chocolate and caramel, topped with whipped cream and a Ghiradeli caramel sauce. Chelette had a brownie and The Marilyn, which was white chocolate topped with whipped cream and a dash of orange peelings, it had a very smooth taste. The place was filled with all kinds of delectable chocolates and even candles and teas that were chocolate. It is definitely a place to visit again. Here are a few pictures from the evening. The star of the evening was truly this month's yarn -- Raspberry Truffle it's Merino w/Cashmere, very very soft, not sure that I will make socks with it. Thanks Karida for a fun evening. It was also nice meeting everyone, Olga, Niki, Melissa, Paula and Erika

Wine Country Socks by Darlene Hayes

I am really impressed in how The Yarn Tree is handling the "Sock for all Seasons" sock club. I got an email letting me know that it was being shipped and to also look out for an email from USPS because it would have the tracking information. They even let me know that I should have the package by Friday and to review the "ship to" information and to contact them immediately if the address was not correct.. All I can say is they are very very efficient. I received the shipment TODAY. Just got the email this morning. I am very happy to know that the Yarn Tree Club goes the extra mile to ensure the customer is well informed. They get an A+ in my book.

CiCi's "Sock for All Season's" YARN

CiCi here is your yarn for this month's Sock for all Seasons / Falling Lace Pattern. I found this in my stash. Guess what?? You brought it for me for my Birthday. LOL--Thanks, Sis. Okay, so now we can both work on this month's pattern together. This yarn is also 560 yards. The good thing in all of this is we have until October before the next shipment comes. We will work it out. I am not sure if we will be as lucky next month to be able and match the yarns with a yarn from our stash, but knowing our stash it should not be a problem. I guess we are now ready for the CHALLENGE. Happy Knitting! Cajtalk

SOCK SAC

Here is the cute sock sac that came with the sock for all seasons package.. Cute right. Well it has little compartments. CiCi can make this bag and we can use some really fun fabric. It was inspired by an Eileen Fisher bag.

"A Sock for all Seasons" -- Dilemma

It is here... our sock of the month club. The contents of the package are great! The Sock pattern is Falling Lace designed by Rachel De Nys -- The Yarn: "Anne - Autumn Spice" from Schaefer Yarn Co. (560 yards). The pattern is out of this world 216 ROWS all of the odd rows are the same with 7 stitches in the pattern. The lace panel is 17 stitches in the pattern, yes I said 17 stitches.. now picture me keeping up with that.. oh my goodness 17 stitches.. we will truly be using a pen and paper. Okay so here is our dilemma... how can me and CiCi share this.. we must and I say again must get another Membership.. I am excited -- CiCi call me - we need to talk!
