Pope Benedict XVI visits DC

CiCi's daughter, Isha was able to get 3 tickets to the Shrine to see the POPE today. She called me this morning and wanted to know if I thought her Grandma would want to see the POPE up close. Her tickets allowed her to get on the lawn of the National Shrine. My mother who has been a Catholic for 83 years was so happy when she called. She just wanted to know what time should she be ready. We are talking about a lady who loves to be in the crowd for a parade. Growing up if there was a parade we were there -- she was in HEAVEN today, she said she didnt know how she was going to get to go, but she felt she was going to go. She didnt mention it to us because she knew we were working and we would not let her go by herself. She is not used to walking alot so that was our biggest concern, but tonight she said is was all worth it.. So here are a few pictures from the day.. Thanks, Isha for making your Grandmother a very happy lady.

I'm so glad Grandma, Kayla and I were able to go see the Pope. I was about 30 feet away from the Pope-mobile! I am also happy that my Grandma was able to come with us to the Shrine. Thanks for putting the pictures Aunt Chelette!
