100 and Counting............

Created with fd's Flickr Toys.

Hello everyone, sorry about the long break. So much has been going on for us. This is our one hundredth post. It is amazing how the time is flying. Although, we haven't posted much about knitting lately and someone even left a comment saying that it looks like knitting isn't the main topic here and it seems like that of late -- but we like to keep up with the HOT TOPICS. The excitement of the presidential campaign has been at the forefront. With only days left, we have been engrossed with all the news about our candidate, Senator Barrack Obama. We are so looking forward to November 4th.

The saddest news that we have to report is that Emmy Lou, is no longer with us, she has gone to her big place in the sky. It was a sad thing, but the owner made what she thought was the best decision. She is taking it pretty hard, but I can say each day her spirits seem to be brighter. I know it's going to take some time for her to get over this. Loosing a pet this way is harder than you know. I am thankful for all the readers who left comments of encouragement and support that I passed along to her.

During the past few months we have enjoyed knitting socks, and think that sock knitting has helped us to become better knitters. We just received our first month of Sundara Seasons Sock Club and the colorways are gorgeous. We also signed up for a 2nd round with Neighborhood Fiber's Walking Sock Tour and was surprised this weekend when the first shipment came.

Well the heat is on, we started the Central Park Hoodie a while back and after putting it down for the summer we are back at it because we would like to wear it to Stitches which is only 18 days away. So who's going to Stitches?? This will be our second time. We will be there Saturday and Sunday. I know we only live about 40 minutes from Baltimore, but we plan to make it a weekend getaway. Last year we had a ball. So if you are going, we would love to meet you. We will be the ones with our CPH's on.

We are thankful for each and everyone who has left comments. We also know that there are many that read without commenting and that's okay too. It has been a joy and pleasure to meet many of you. We look forward to the next 100th post.
-Peace-

The price we pay for sharing our lives with a pet is the grief we feel when they are gone. I have been involved with dogs for a long time and sometimes the kindest thing we can do for them is what is most difficult for us. Tell your friend that she made her decision by listening to her heart and it is very seldom wrong. No dog is happy with not being able to live life to it's fullest.

Congrats on your 100th post. Glad to see you both posting again. I'll be at Stitches at least on Saturday and will probably be there Sunday as well. I live approx 20 minutes from downtown and decided to use that money for YARN! Hope to see you there!

Ok ladies - I know that sock yarn doesn't count as stash but pleazzzzz - you all are too much! I guess you are trying to keep the USPS in business with all these sock yarn clubs etc.

Congratulations on your 100th post and my sympathies on the loss of Emmy Lou. I still haven't recovered from the loss of my Fuji over 3 years ago. They are family.

Congrats on your 100th post! The yarn is beautiful.

I'm so looking forward to Nov. 4. Early voting has already begun here, and my husband and I were the first to vote at our polling station. I've never been this enthusiastic about a candidate before.

Congratulations on your 100th post!
I just found your blog and I love it, everything about it. What beautiful knitting. I use to knit & crochet a little (beginner) and decided to get back into it so your blog is a great inspiration. Sewing is my first love but sure won't mind getting hooked on knitting & crochet. I'll be back to look in often. I have a sewing blog @ www.sewhooked.blogspot.com
