It's a New Day

We now have a leader that will take us to a better place. He speaks with clarity, reassurance, and dignity. May the energy of the Universe be with Barack Obama and his family as he and his team give new light to our country.May we all join in and do our part to bring America back to its core. Grant us all the strength to make this a better world. Amen, Amen, Amen!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a New Day!!!

The New Day video always brings tears to my eyes.

I've never paid any attention to the presidential inaugurations in the past (I'm not American) but like most of the rest of the world I was glued to the television. Fabulous.

The inaugural ceremony was very nice! I actually had no intentions of going downtown, knowing how many people were going to be down there and all... but then at the last minute I was thinking about all the people that were traveling here from far away and felt like 'Dag I'm already here and not going!!' I decided I could not miss the opportunity being right near the city. It was definitely worth going, the energy of the crowds regardless of political affiliation etc, was peaceful and unified.
I didn't get to attend any balls, that would have been very neat! In spite of all the woes of getting home, I was still glad I was able to go and wouldn't have changed anything. :-) -isha

I'm so sorry I didn't get to meet you both in DC but what a fantastic experience it was to be there. Hopefully I'll get back soon and will have more time to do some knitting stuff.

I love that video! It's an exciting time, indeed. I would have loved to have attended either the parade or the inauguration....thanks for checking out my neckwarmer. It was soooo fast and easy!
