Day 5... Thinking Thursday

....Congratulations to the Yankees!!! They are the Champions of the World Series for the
27th time!! Sorry Philly, maybe next year.

...I decided all I wanna do is knit. I just need to find the time to make this happen. It gives me such joy and satisfation. Right now I am close to finishing my Autumn Vine Stole. I have 550 yards. It looks like I need another skein and I can't find it anywhere. I purchased this yarn in
Baltimore at "Lovely Yarns" in September. Blue Heron was having a trunk show and I only bought one skein. I did see one person on Ravelry that had this yarn in there stash. I may have
to contact her.

.....Next week I am looking forward to an outing with my girls. We are going to the Friday 13th
big sale at A Tangled Skein. It starts at 9pm to Midnight.

.....I can't wait until my new computer comes. It will be my first laptop. Of course Chelette decided she needed a laptop too!(would you believe she is still celebrating her Birthday, she said she didn't buy herself anything and that she needed one) whateva!

....Last weekend I had the best fried oysters I have had in a long time at Houston's. I can't wait to get them again. I passed on my favorite 5 nut brownie.

......I am happy to report that my granddaughter Kayla is doing remarkably better after being
hospitalized for Asthma. She went back to school for the first time yesterday.

That's about it for me. Have a great day♥

National Blog Posting Month/ Ten on Tuesday

Okay. I am not going to promise anything. I am going to do my best, how's that♥ I am already a day late. I think it's hard to come up with something everyday. So, I am going to start with 10 on Tuesday. I have been thinking of making my own version of this. But Yen, this one's for you! Besides this one should be so easy for me.

10 Ways to Waste Time on the Internet

1
. Biggest one for me is "RAVELRY" need I say more.

2. Most of mine will be in the form of Knit or Crochet site
so next after Ravelry for me would be Knitty.com

3. Another one for me would have to be "Twist Collective"
They have some of the greatest pattern you'll find. The photography is amazing

4. I can't leave out Loopy Ewe and Sanguine Gryphon

5. Woolmeise has to have their very own category

6. See how easy this is for me... next up "Flicker"

7. of course there "Facebook"

8. almost forgot about "YouTube"

9. Twitter,,, no words LOL

10. I have to put my own blog here..2Sistahs Knit Together always something to do or see or say..

Whew.. that wasn't so hard... now just have 27 more days to go♥

Recap and Update

We managed to go to Stitches. It was good to be able to focus on other things. I am glad we went. We went on Friday for a class on Short Row Toes and another on Creative cast-ons. We learned a few new cast-on methods. I am such a visual learner and it helped to see it in action. I am not so good at interpreting what the pattern says. My favorite was the Short Row Toe class. It will make it easier to design my own socks knowing this method. We were lucky enough to have a small class. I was able to ask all my questions. She was a great teacher. We didn't get to take many pictures at stitches this year. Cameras were banned for some reason. But we did get permission from Deb's Garden, for this photo notice our hoodless CPH's? They arn't finished yet. I haven't finished my button band and Chelette hasn't finished her sleeves. We wore them regardless. I am anxious to start another.

My brother is still in my thoughts. We have the obit all done and made a Media Picture Slide show to play during the service. All other arrangements have also been made. We have relatives coming from Louisiana, Texas and Pennsylvania. My mom is still my biggest concern. Who is going to be with her during the day when we are all at work. I think she can handle herself. She probably will enjoy the peace and quiet after having a house full all week. Night hours will probably be the hardest for her. We are going to have to take turns. I enjoyed going to Mass with her on Sunday. My brother use to be the one that takes her to Church. They use to visit a different Church each week. Her favorite was the Shrine. It's my favorite too. I love to smell the incense they burn.

Well I wanted to post this earlier because this weekend was very busy. Things will probably settle down this week. Thanks to everyone for your expressions of sympathy . Loss is a hard thing but we all face it sooner or later. I hope and pray for no more funerals for awhile.
I was not able to be consistent in NabloPoMo, but I did post 11 days out of 15, not bad for my first time.

Be blessed and tell someone how much you love them today!

Sad News

Bobby with his granddaughter Lailah
We lost our brother, Robert V. Johnson (Bobby) age 57 -- he passed away Thursday, November 6 at 12:10 am. Life is a series of events, and until we've reached the end of the series, it's hard to know exactly why things are happening. I don't know how we are going to get through this, but I know ultimately we will. God be with us all. My mom is especially my concern these days. She has had to endure a lot and I know that she can rely on her Faith to help her through.

I had signed up for NaBloPoMo(National Blog Posting Month), today is day 7, and already I have not been able to blog each day. The month started off with many challenges. However, I think I might try to still do as much as I can. I enjoy blogging and I know it has peeked my interest in writing. I am encouraged each time I read someones blog. Writing is a good form of release and a great way to express ourselves. I have come across some awesome reads.

I asked for strength and God gave me difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for wisdom and God gave me problems to solve.
I asked for prosperity and God gave me brawn and brain to work.
I asked for courage and God gave me dangers to overcome.
I asked for love and God gave me troubled people to help...
May you rest in peace my brother
We Love you!
